Jessica Read graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (U.K.) in1976 and emigrated to Australia that same year. After teaching at the International College of Chiropractic
(now School of Chiropractic at RMIT) in Melbournefor two and a half years, under the direct guidance
the principal Dr Andries Kleynhans, she spent many years running private home practices while raising
her family of two children and discovering different areas of Australia.
In the early 1980s, Dr Read came across the healing power of flower essences, learning how to use the Bach Flower Remedies to begin with, then moving on to the Australian Bush Flower Essences and the Living Essences of Western Australia.
In 1986 while living in Western Australia, Dr Read began making her own flower remedies aimed at alleviating the emotional aspects of physical pain. This led to the creation of the very popular Nature's Remedy First Aid Cream (no longer in existence). In the early 2000s, expanding upon the same principles applied in Nature's Remedy First Aid Cream, she created Simply Flower Power Pain Relief & Moisturising Cream.
Dr Read is a pioneer in the gentle forms of chiropractic, having devised her own precise non manipulative forms of spinal corrections over thirty years ago. She uses Sacro-Occipital Technique (S.O.T.) as a basis, together with the principles of Motion Palpation and Correction as taught to her by Dr Heny Gillet, one of her teachers and mentors at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.
In the late 1990s, Dr Read studied vibrational healing methods at the College of Therapeutic Resouces in Melbourne, receiving a Diploma in Holistic Healing. Some of the healing modalities studied were: Reiki (applied following the principles of Applied Kinesiology) , crystal, colour and sound healing, aura and chakra balancing, spiritual and psychic healing, etc.
In the early 2000s, Dr Read developed her own chakra balancing vibrational energy drops.
Her healing practice now includes all these modalities:
- precise gentle chiropractic corrections, including cranial adjustments
- aura clearing
- chakra balancing
- flower remedies for emotional issues
- and of course the use of her natural pain relief cream both in the clinic and for after care at home.
Dr Read's experience over many years has proven beyond any doubt that addressing both the physical and energetic/vibrational component of dis-ease results in a much faster and longer lasting recovery. This has the effect of freeing her practice for more patients as each one recovers in a minimum number of visits.
Absent, or healing at a distance, is now also available and is proving to be very popular with people who are time poor or simply live too far to attend the clinic. The patient's etheric image is projected onto the massage table and corrections are made as if the patient were present. Dr Read has been practising this method of absent healing for several years with very positive results and is now ready to offer it to a wider audience.
Dr Read is also a great believer in co-operation between healing practitioners, regularly referring her patients to kinesiologists, naturopaths, herbalists and homeopaths for extra healing where this applies. Both her patients and the healers she works with hold her in very high regard.
Dr Read's values have always been to do her very best for each and every patient and then refer them to the next practitioner who can continue the healing process. If you allow this to happen, each patient will teach you something new. Dr Read's patients have been her teachers along the years, as they challenged her to develop new and better techniques to solve their problems and restore their health to its optimum potential.
