Press Release
Unique multipurpose all natural Pain Relief Cream, created by Mt Martha Chiropractor, from flowers growing on the Mornington Peninsula, now in demand nationwide and overseas.
Melbourne, VIC, 22th November 2007 - After successfully creating the formula for Nature's Remedy First Aid Cream in the late '80s, which went on to be stocked nationally by Coles and Safeway supermarkets, Dr Jessica Read, a long time resident of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, went back to her clinical environment and continued to learn more about the effectiveness of flower remedies.
In 2001, Dr Read started from scratch and devised a brand new product based on flower essences made from plants growing wild in her surroundings. The result was Simply Flower Power Pain Relief & Moisturising Cream, a multipurpose pain relieving cream with many varied applications, some quite surprising and unusual.
Flower Remedies
Since the 1930's, Flower Remedies have been used for the treatment of emotional conditions. The best known would be "Bach's Rescue Remedy", to be taken in emergency situations for a calming effect.
"Flower remedies contain the healing properties of particular flowers in liquid form. They are completely natural and are made from specially selected flowers that are picked at a time in thier blooming when their healing power is greatest", writes Mark Wells, author of Flower Remedies, Feel Better Naturally (1). They are usually taken orally as drops and create a feeling of wellbeing in the person.
For her new Pain Relief Cream, Dr Read chose flowers that would addresss emotions such as shock, fear, grief, anger, resentment, exhaustion, overwhelm - all emotional states present in people at the scene of an accident i.e. a situation of intense emotional pain. Applying the principles of the Doctrine of Signatures (2), she found all the flowers she wanted right on her doorstep on the Mornington Peninusula in Victoria. The result is a formula of twelve flower remedies which were added to a natural cream base.
To enhance the cream's pain relieving actions further, St John's Wort in homeopathic form, a proven reliever of nerve pain, was added.
Why put flower remedies in a cream? Dr Read found four main reasons:
1. Emotional cellular pain
2. Physical pain as an expression of emotional pain
3. Flower remedies relieve stress thus preventing the onset of pain
4. Flower remedies relax tight and wrinkled skin
1. Emotional cellular pain
More and more research is being done into the emotions of physical cells. When a part of your body is in pain, it may be hurting both physically and emotionally. For instance, a person who has suffered a whiplash injury, may be carrying the emoiton of shock in his/her cells, precventing the injury from fully healing.
Applying flower remedies, which work on emotions, directly to the site of the injury, may assist in healing the emotional aspect of the pain.
Dr Read applied this theory when she created her Pain Relief Cream and many of her injured patients, who previously were not responding to her chiropractic care, went on to a complete resolution of their neck and/or back pain after she applied her cream to the site of pain during her chiropractic treatment.
2. Physical pain as an expression of emotional pain.
The focus of Dr Read's thinking then expanded into the theory that 'physical pain may well be an expression of emotional pain.
This would apply particularly to chronic conditions, such as arthritis, or pain of unknown origin, such as fibromyalgia.
Here again, Dr Read's cream was successful in alleviating pain. Now hundreds of people use Dr Read's Pain Relief Cream for the temporary relief of chronic pain.
3. Flower remedies relieve stress thus preventing the onset of pain.
Dr Read discovered a third application of her flower remedy cream. Pain is the signal that the body is no longer coping with a problem. Stress precedes pain.
Pain is stress that has become so intolerable for the body that the nervous system becomes vocal and literally shouts out: 'Help me!" and we hear that as pain .
What if we could address the stress early in the piece and prevent the pain from having to reach the 'shouting' stage?
Dr Read experimented with applying her pain relief cream to:
- tired muscles, for instance at the end of a hard day's work in the garden or as a tradesman, or after a heavy workout at the gym.
- joints and muscles overused in certain occupations, such as wrists and shoulder muscles in typists, pianists or masseurs.
Here again, the results were excellent:
- no back ache after hard physical work, no muscular aches after exercise.
- repetitive strain conditions finding relief before they became a debilitating problem.
Many people now apply Dr Read's Pain Relief Cream either daily or routinely as a preventative measure to avoid reaching the painful state.
4. Flower remedies relax tight and wrinkled skin.
The flower remedies are incorporated in a cream base containing natural cold-pressed oils and essential lavender oil. This allows the creamt o double up as a moisturiser while at the same time relieving stress in tired cells. It leaves the skin rejuvenated, without the use of harmful chemicals.
There is a visible difference in the face and hands after only one week of use.
The cream has also had rapied results in persistent conditions of creacked heels and dry feet.
The name says it all!
Dr Read chose the name Simply Flower Power to emphasize the fact that it is the 'energy or vital life force' of the flowers that is responsible for the healing vibrations in the cream. There are no chemical substances involved; the cream does not act by numbing the pain,
Simply Flower Power Pain Relief and Moisturising Cream
